Sol 4058BL LED Outdoor Ceiling Light Ø20 cm, 19.3 W, 4000K, DALI-2, Black, NORLYS

Sol 4058BL is a round NORLYS outdoor ceiling light, 20 cm in diameter and 11 cm high, mounted directly on the ceiling. The body is made of extruded aluminium profile and aluminium alloy, powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and a satin polycarbonate diffuser with UV stabilisation closes it from below. The LED module is built in, so there is no bulb to buy.

Dimensions and installation

Compare the 20 cm diameter and 11 cm height with the free ceiling area at the mounting spot. The luminaire is screwed on through two ø5 mm holes 100 mm apart and weighs 2.42 kg.

IP65 protection and IK10 impact resistance let it be mounted outdoors without any extra cover. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to a protective earth conductor.

How much light it gives

The 16.8 W Philips Fortimo module produces 2400 lm, and 1912 lm leaves through the satin diffuser at 19.3 W – 99.1 lm/W, a level for main lighting rather than mood light. At 4000 K the light is neutral white, cooler than a traditional incandescent bulb.

The light falls symmetrically downwards. A ULOR of 0.3% and a BUG rating of B1-U1-G1 mean only a negligible share of the flux goes upwards, and the manufacturer gives its photometric data for a 2.5 m mounting height.

DALI-2 control and wiring

The DALI-2 driver means the luminaire is switched and dimmed over a DALI bus – a DALI controller or gateway is needed, and an ordinary phase dimmer will not work with it. The manufacturer has also adapted it for a 176–280 V DC supply.

The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm², enough for the supply, the protective earth and the two DALI bus wires. Looping through to the next luminaire is done with cable up to 1.5 mm², and the gland takes a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter.

Service and lifetime

The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service – the manufacturer offers LED service kit ZS4044ZX0009 and driver service kit ZS4047ZX0009. The module keeps 70% of its flux for over 50,000 h (L70).

The ceiling light is intended for gardens and private grounds – it suits a covered terrace or a gazebo. The plain cylindrical form without ornament is modern.
