TACORO is a wall lamp built from a round glass disc 30 cm across, set on a black matt metal cylinder. The glass carries a fine vertical texture and lets light through, while the cylinder screwed to the wall holds the disc slightly off the wall surface. The built-in LED module fires sideways out of the cylinder, in the plane of the glass, so a bright band appears on either side of the black centre.
How big the fitting is and what it weighs
The disc measures 30 cm in diameter — a figure to compare with the free stretch of wall the lamp is meant to occupy, between a cabinet and a corner or above a headboard. The fitting is flat and does not spread sideways, so it stays clear of anyone passing close to the wall.
The wall lamp weighs 1.3 kg. On a masonry or concrete wall that mass sets no limits; on a plasterboard partition it is the number to check against the load rating of the fixing you intend to use.
How much light TACORO gives
An integrated 6 W LED module works inside the fitting and delivers 203 lumens. An old 60 W bulb corresponds to roughly 800 lumens, so TACORO runs at about a quarter of that brightness. This is supplementary light: it picks out the wall it sits on, but will not light the room — that job stays with the main fitting.
The colour temperature is 3000 K, warm white — yellowish, close to a traditional bulb and noticeably warmer than a neutral 4000 K. The textured disc spreads that light across its whole surface instead of showing a point source.
The LED module is built in permanently and comes with the lamp — there is no bulb to buy, but there is none to replace either once the module stops working.
Build and where it fits
The lamp combines two materials: metal on the mounting cylinder and glass on the disc. The cylinder is finished in matt black and the glass stays translucent, which makes black the only strong accent on the piece.
The form is minimalist and modern — a circle, a cylinder, no ornament and no mounting hardware visible from the front. In a living room or bedroom it works as mood lighting; in a hall or corridor it marks the wall without lighting the whole passage.
