TACORO Luces Exclusivas wall lamp LE46155

TACORO LE46155 is a wall light built from two overlapping circles: a round pane of clear glass 20 cm across and a solid brushed metal disc in gold, 8 cm across, mounted in front of it. The glass is reeded, covered with closely spaced vertical ribs. The fixture stands 8.5 cm off the wall.

How big the fixture is and how much wall it takes

The glass pane measures 20 cm in diameter and 3 mm in thickness, so on the wall it reads as a flat disc rather than a body. The gold disc covers its centre across 8 cm, less than half the diameter of the glass, which leaves the reeded rim visible all the way round.

The fixture projects 8.5 cm from the wall. That figure is worth comparing with the clearance left at the intended mounting spot, above a piece of furniture or in a passage, for example. It runs on mains power at 230 V.

How much light it gives and of what kind

The light source is an integrated 6 W LED module hidden in the metal body behind the glass pane. It comes with the fixture, so no bulb has to be bought separately, but it cannot be swapped either — once the module is spent, the whole fixture is replaced.

The module emits at 3000 K, a warm white with a slightly yellow cast, close to the light of a traditional incandescent bulb. Its 203 lm is roughly a quarter of what a 60 W bulb used to deliver, so TACORO works as decorative, supplementary lighting rather than as a room's main light.

The opaque disc screens the module from the room, so the light escapes sideways: it brightens the reeded glass and the wall around the fixture instead of shining straight at you.

Finish and the rest of the series

Body and disc are metal with a gold finish, the brushing showing as concentric circles across the face of the disc. The shade is a single pane of clear glass with vertical reeding. The form is modern and modernist: two smooth circles with no ornament and no visible frame.

The TACORO series offers the same shape in black as well, and in a larger 30 cm diameter in both finishes. Several fixtures from the same family can therefore be combined on one wall in different sizes.
