NORLYS Trysil 1043BL Black LED Garden Lantern

The Trysil garden lantern from Norwegian manufacturer NORLYS combines a futuristic silhouette with a robust, architectural build. This 1043BL model in black (RAL 9005) stands 400 cm tall and is an excellent choice for lighting gardens, private grounds and more demanding architectural concepts where both light output and elegant looks matter.

Application and light output

The luminaire is built around two LED modules with neutral 4000 K light and a combined output of 3425 lm, reaching an efficiency of 147 lm/W. VSM optics from Ledil (IESNA type V photometry) distribute the light evenly, while the B2-U2-G1 rating keeps upward light emission low. This makes the lantern ideal for garden paths, entrance zones, driveways and representative areas around a house or commercial property.

Advanced DALI2 control

An external DALI2 driver enables full programmable light control, including NightDim mode and optional AstroDim/Dynadimmer scheduling. The LED modules and control gear are replaceable by a qualified electrician. A 100 000-hour source lifetime and a power factor of 0.95 deliver long, reliable performance.

Build and installation

The housing is made of powder-coated extruded aluminium, while the clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate lens ensures lasting durability. With IP65 protection and IK10 impact resistance, the lantern withstands dust, moisture and weather. It is installed using separately sold NORLYS accessories: a mounting adapter, ground anchor or concreting anchor.

Dimensions and technical data

The luminaire measures 118 x 24 x 400 cm (width x depth x height) and weighs 28.1 kg net, with a gross weight of 30.9 kg. It runs on 230 V and the two LED light points together draw 23.3 W. A colour rendering index of CRI 70 and SDCM5 colour consistency deliver predictable, even light. The operating temperature range spans from –20 °C to +45 °C.

Maintenance and options

The powder-coated aluminium housing is corrosion-resistant and simple to keep clean; the lens only needs a wipe with a damp cloth. The lantern is also available on request in other versions, including a surge-protection device (SPD), a different luminous flux or another RAL colour. A LED module, an external DALI2 driver and installation instructions are supplied in the box.
