Jupiter ALAS 2006 is a single pendant light made from steel in gold and black. Its elongated gold-coloured tube sits below a black sphere and a short cylinder, with a black suspension cable continuing the vertical composition.
A narrow tube with a geometric upper detail
The contrast between the reflective gold surface and dark rounded elements is central to this version. Light exits through the bottom of the tube. This is a different arrangement from a broad fabric shade that allows light to pass through its sides, so the position of the lower opening matters when planning the installation.
Simple geometric forms give the pendant a modern character. When matching it with other finishes, account for the visible black components as well as the gold section: this is not an entirely gold fitting. The spherical detail also distinguishes it from a plain cylindrical pendant.
Choose a separate GU10 bulb
There is one GU10 socket for a replaceable light source rated at no more than 14 W. A bulb is not included. The colour temperature, brightness and beam angle therefore depend on the bulb you select, rather than the colour of the metal body.
Compare the bulb's specifications with the lighting effect required beneath the pendant. A photograph showing the lamp switched on does not establish a supplied colour temperature or lumen output. This version provides one lighting point, not a set of several suspended fittings.
Allow for the full suspended height
The manufacturer lists a fitting height of 120 cm, with a width and depth of 12 cm each. Compare these measurements with your ceiling height and the clear space beneath the intended position. The height is not the length of the gold tube alone.
ALAS is intended for indoor use on a 230 V supply. Include the ceiling connection and bottom light opening in your layout, then select the bulb to suit the surface or area you want to illuminate.
