NORDLAND outdoor wall / ceiling light DALI2 5255GR 28.9W 4000K - Graphite RAL 7016 - NORLYS

NORDLAND 5255GR is a square outdoor luminaire for wall or ceiling mounting in graphite RAL 7016. A powder-coated cast aluminium frame holds an opal polycarbonate diffuser, and narrow side windows let light out to the sides as well. The 5255 version has a 4000 K LED module and a driver controlled over DALI2.

Size and wall or ceiling mounting

The luminaire measures 28 × 28 cm, projects 9.5 cm from the wall or ceiling and weighs 2.21 kg. It is fixed with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 150 × 170 mm — check that spacing against the junction box or cable entry where it will go.

The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 1.5 mm² and allow the supply to loop through to the next luminaire on the same circuit. The cable gland is designed for a round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it needs an earth connection, and installation is carried out by a qualified electrician.

How much light and what kind

The luminaire draws 28.9 W and delivers 2308 lm — enough to light an entrance, a terrace or a soffit as the main light rather than a marker. 4000 K is neutral white, under which a facade and paving keep their natural colours; the colour rendering index is Ra 80.

The opal diffuser spreads the light, so the LEDs do not show as individual points. Under 10% of the flux goes upwards (ULOR 9.74%), so on a wall most of the light lands on the wall and the ground, not the sky.

DALI2 control and servicing

The driver supports DALI2, so the luminaire can be dimmed and programmed from a DALI installation in the building. Dimming needs a DALI controller — an ordinary phase dimmer will not work with it.

The LED module and the driver can be replaced by a service technician, and the manufacturer keeps a ZS5255 service kit for this luminaire. LED lifetime is stated as over 80,000 h at 80% of the flux. IP65 allows mounting on an exposed facade, and IK10 impact resistance protects the diffuser against knocks.

Where it fits

The plain rectangular body without ornament suits modernist and contemporary architecture. It works on a facade, under a soffit, on a terrace, balcony or gazebo, and at hotel and restaurant entrances, where units on one DALI line dim together.
