NORLYS ASTRID 2212 LED bollard light, 85 cm, 10.4 W, 3000 K, light grey RAL 9006

ASTRID 2212 is a bollard light 85 cm tall with a rounded-square section of 14 × 14 cm. The extruded aluminium profile is powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006 and fluted vertically along its whole height, and the light leaves through an opal PMMA diffuser.

What light it gives

The integrated 7.9 W LED module produces 1536 lm, and after the opal diffuser and the ribbed body 256 lm leave the fitting at a draw of 10.4 W. This is soft, diffuse orientation light that marks the edge of a path or driveway rather than lighting a whole garden. At 3000 K the light is warm white, and CRI 80 lets you tell the colours of paving and plants apart.

Norlys states a ULOR of 50%, meaning half of the fitting's light goes above the horizontal: the bollard glows all round, upwards included, rather than only at your feet. The driver is built in, the fitting dims with a trailing-edge or leading-edge phase-cut dimmer, and the LED module and control gear are replaced by a professional service.

Installation and wiring

The bollard is fixed with three bolts through ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Foundation parts are sold separately: a concreting anchor (205), a ground anchor (206), a concrete-foundation adapter (206S) or a mounting adapter (3080GA).

The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and let you loop the supply on with the same cross-section, so one line can feed a row of bollards. Norlys also states how many of these fit on one circuit breaker: 46 on B 10 A, 75 on B 16 A, 74 on C 10 A and 120 on C 16 A, which is the figure to check against the run you are planning. The cable may be up to ø12.5 mm in diameter. The luminaire is protection class I and needs a protective earth conductor.

Where it fits

IP65 lets the bollard stand outdoors without any cover, and the IK10 impact rating matters by a driveway, on a terrace or along a street. The plain fluted form suits modern and Scandinavian schemes. The bollard weighs 6.24 kg.
