NORLYS Nordland 7118WH White Outdoor LED Ceiling Light with Motion Sensor

The NORLYS Nordland 7118WH is a white outdoor ceiling light that can also be mounted on a wall. Its square cast-aluminium frame is finished in RAL 9003, with milky polycarbonate panels across the front and along the sides. This version includes a microwave motion sensor and operates as a MASTER unit.

Compare the output of the complete light

The integrated 12 W LED module produces warm white light at 3000 K. Output from the complete fitting is 873 lm, whereas the light source itself is rated at 1500 lm. When comparing this ceiling light with another fitting, use the complete-luminaire figure, which accounts for the enclosure and diffuser rather than the LED alone.

The milky diffuser and side panels create a diffuse distribution. Nordland is not a directional spotlight for aiming a narrow beam at a particular object. There is no separate bulb to buy. Replacement of the LED module is reserved for the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person. The fitting is not dimmable.

Motion control and corridor installations

The microwave sensor works with twilight switching and a motion hold function. In a corridor system, the MASTER can switch compatible SLAVE fittings. NORLYS specifies a maximum of 11 luminaires in the arrangement, with MASTER units at the beginning and end. Select the other fittings and plan the wiring from the manufacturer's documentation: MASTER and SLAVE versions have different roles and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Space and installation requirements

The body measures 28 cm along each side and projects 9.5 cm. Compare these dimensions with the available ceiling or wall area before installation. IP65 protection, IK10 impact resistance and a working range of -20 to +45°C support outdoor use, including a covered terrace or gazebo. The geometric frame and exposed corner fastenings suit modern and loft-style settings.

The light connects to a 220–240 V supply and requires installation by a qualified electrician. Correct cable entry sealing is part of that work, not just a detail of the housing. Follow the installation manual to avoid compromising the fitting's stated protection.
