Sol 4051WH is an outdoor ceiling light shaped as a low cylinder, 20 cm in diameter and 11 cm high. The body is an extruded aluminium profile powder-coated in white (RAL 9003), closed underneath by a clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser. Inside sits an integrated Philips Fortimo LED module at 3000 K, with the electronic driver already built into the fitting.

How much light it gives and where it goes

The luminaire delivers 2101 lm at 19.1 W, which works out at 110 lm/W. That is main-lighting brightness, so a single fitting lights an entrance, a covered terrace or the inside of a gazebo rather than just marking their outline. 3000 K is a warm white that stays comfortable during evenings spent outdoors.

The light spreads symmetrically downwards and only 0.3% of the output escapes upwards (ULOR). The floor and the area beneath the fitting are lit, not the ceiling or the sky above the house. A CRI of 80 is the usual level for outdoor lighting.

Dimming and module replacement

The fitting works with both types of phase dimmer, trailing edge (TE) and leading edge (LE), so the output can be lowered when the full 2101 lm is not needed. No separate transformer is required.

The LED module and driver are not meant to be swapped by the user, but a professional service can replace them: the manufacturer stocks an LED service kit (ZS4043ZX0009) and a driver service kit (ZS4046ZX0009). Module lifetime is rated at over 50,000 hours (L70), and when it ends the fitting does not have to be thrown away.

Installation and where it can work

The light is screwed to the ceiling through two ø5 mm holes spaced 100 mm apart. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the supply can be looped on to the next fitting (up to 1.5 mm²); an EPDM gland seals a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is a protection class I luminaire and must be connected to the protective earth, so installation should be done by an electrician.

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, and IK10 is the highest impact-resistance rating. The plain white body without ornament blends into a light soffit or a terrace ceiling; the manufacturer also makes the same model in light grey, black and graphite.
