NUMINOS M PD DALI is a spot-shaped pendant: a cylinder 8.5 cm across and 18.5 cm tall. The body is matt white and the ring around the light opening matt black. The fitting hangs on a white 250 cm cable ending in a flat ceiling rose.

How big it is and how low to hang it

A cylinder 8.5 cm across is a small body — over the kitchen island the manufacturer intends it for, several are usually hung in a row rather than one on its own. The cable sets the maximum drop: 250 cm.

The bottom edge is normally set 70–80 cm above the worktop. With a worktop at 90 cm and a 260 cm ceiling that comes to 160–170 cm above the floor, or 90–100 cm below the ceiling — clearly less than the full cable length allows.

What light it gives

The integrated LED module delivers 1750 lm in a 60° half-peak beam. This is directional light aimed downwards: it lays a defined pool over the worktop rather than lighting the whole kitchen evenly. An old 60 W incandescent gave around 800 lm, but spread in every direction.

2700 K is warm, with the slightly yellow cast of a traditional bulb. A colour rendering index of Ra 90 matters exactly over a work surface — food and ingredients show close to their daylight colours under this light.

Dimming and wiring

Brightness is set over DALI, and the manufacturer also lists Touch control, meaning an ordinary retractive push button — so dimming does not require building a bus.

The driver sits inside the fitting, and protection class I calls for an earth conductor. Inrush current is 2.75 A over 190 µs and is what limits the circuit: on a B16A or C16A breaker the manufacturer allows up to 94 of these fittings.

Light source and service life

The LED module is built in and, per the ErP declaration, replaceable only by a qualified expert — there is no bulb to unscrew. The manufacturer quotes a 50 000 h service life.

The fitting weighs 1.15 kg net, and the permitted ambient range runs from −20 to +50 °C. It is intended for indoor mounting only.
