MAGIC 2 is a ceiling-mounted fitting designed for a room where the direction of light matters as much as the fixture itself. Two black conical shades sit at the ends of slim, asymmetrically arranged arms. The powder-coated steel construction has a restrained, graphic presence against a pale ceiling or a darker, more industrial setting; its long silhouette is intended to be seen rather than hidden.

The useful detail is the movable shade arrangement. Each shade can be aimed independently, so the two lamps can serve separate areas: a dining table and a wall, a reading corner and the centre of a room, or two sides of a hallway. That flexibility makes the fitting easier to live with when furniture is rearranged, without altering the ceiling connection.

Choose the character of the light

The fitting takes two replaceable E27 bulbs, which are not supplied. This leaves the choice of colour temperature, output and bulb appearance to the buyer. Sigma specifies a maximum of 15 W LED per light source. Selecting matching LED bulbs gives a consistent result, while the black metal shades help concentrate the light in their chosen directions and keep the source less exposed from the side.
