Rigby wall lamp - 3 light sources - Polished chrome Quintiesse

Rigby in polished chrome is a three-light Quintiesse wall fitting from the Hinkley collection. Three clear seeded-glass covers hang beneath broad mesh shades. Its chrome-finished steel frame, exposed connections and round backplate give it an industrial lighting vocabulary adapted for an interior wall.

Three E27 lamps to choose separately

Model QN-RIGBY3-BATH-PC has three E27 sockets and is supplied without bulbs. The glowing filaments in the manufacturer's photograph illustrate a possible lamp choice rather than the contents of the package. Because the glass is transparent, the bulb shape contributes to the appearance of the fitting as well as providing its light.

The manufacturer lists a maximum wattage of 40 W and compatibility with dimmable lamps. Brightness control therefore depends on the bulbs you select and compatible control equipment. The fitting itself does not determine colour temperature or luminous flux. Choose those properties for the intended installation rather than assuming that the photograph promises a particular shade of light.

Check the width and projection above a mirror

Rigby measures 68.6 cm wide and 30.4 cm high, with a projection of 22 cm from the wall. The circular backplate is 15.2 cm in diameter. Compare these measurements with the mirror width, nearby cabinetry and the space in front of the wall before choosing its position. All three light points share one supporting arm rather than using separate backplates.

The IP44 rating and the manufacturer's explicit bathroom designation support its use as an above-mirror wall light. The actual mounting position still needs to comply with bathroom electrical installation rules. This is a Class I fitting for a 220–240 V supply and requires a correctly made electrical connection.

Mesh, glass and a restrained retro structure

The metal shades leave the glass covers partly exposed. That combination remains visible when the lamps are off and supports industrial, loft and vintage interiors, including decorative wall lighting in a living room or corridor. Polished chrome identifies this particular finish; it should not be confused with the alternative antique-nickel and brass version.
