Zambelis 23256 is a round wall light with a black disc and a pale, convex centre edged with radial fluting. Its broad dark surround contrasts with the white central section even when the lamp is off. The manufacturer specifies metal and gypsum for the construction and names this finish Sandy Black.

Check both diameter and projection

The complete fitting measures 21 cm across and 13 cm from the base to the front. The central section is also 13 cm in diameter, but that is not the diameter of the whole light. When planning a position beside a door, furniture or another wall feature, allow for the outline of the black disc as well as its projection into the room. A front-facing photograph does not show that projection clearly.

This is a surface-mounted wall fitting with an 8 cm diameter base. Compare the base size with the location of your wiring outlet before deciding where to place it. The instructions describe fixing the bracket, connecting the supply to the terminal block, and securing the body and gypsum section. The manufacturer requires installation and maintenance to be undertaken by a qualified electrician.

Choose the G9 lamp separately

There is one G9 lampholder, and the bulb is not included. The installation instructions specify a G9 LED bulb rated at no more than 7 W. Light colour and light output therefore depend on the replacement bulb you select rather than a built-in LED module. Check those figures when buying the bulb, especially if several fittings will be used together; the product photograph cannot establish their final brightness.

A contrasting wall detail indoors

The manufacturer identifies living rooms, bedrooms, corridors, hotels and shops as suitable indoor settings. In a dining room it can supplement wall lighting, but should not automatically be treated as a substitute for a light above the table. The circular outline and restrained palette suit modern and minimalist interiors, while black metal can also accompany industrial details. Its fluted pale centre makes this a different choice from an entirely black, smooth-faced wall light.
