Surika is a linear lighting system built around a tensioned steel band 16 mm wide, with an LED strip mounted on it. This version spans 6 m and the steel is lacquered black, matt.
How the 6-metre band is tensioned
The band is tensioned between two walls, or between ceiling and floor, and rests on two end brackets measuring 95 x 31 mm — the only points where the system touches the building. The band itself is 16 mm wide, so once tensioned you see a thin line rather than a luminaire housing.
The maker intends the system for spaces up to 7 m long; this version covers 6 m, and that figure is the one to compare with your own wall spacing or room height, depending on whether the band is to run horizontally or vertically. Fitting it calls for no cornices or cover strips of the kind normally used to hide an LED strip tucked into a recess.
How much light Surika 600 cm gives
The LED strip delivers 7586 lm at 58 W. That is main-lighting output, spread over the full 6 m, so the light does not land in one spot but diffuses along the line of the band.
4000 K is neutral white — without the yellow cast of 2700 K and without the cool tone of colour temperatures above 5000 K. Colours in the room are not warmed up under this light.
What comes in the box
The transformer is included, so no separate driver has to be bought or found a place for in the installation. The LED strip arrives already fixed to the band, so there is no bulb to choose separately. Supply is ~220-230 V.
The structure is lacquered steel and the maker covers it with a five-year warranty. The system is intended for dry interiors only.
