Arendal 1560GR bollard light, E27, 85 cm, crystal glass shade, graphite RAL 7016 – NORLYS

Arendal 1560GR is an 85 cm bollard light with a square 12 × 12 cm steel shaft powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016. On top sits a 14.6 cm shade of crystal glass satin-finished on the inside. The manufacturer notes that the glass may take on an amber tint over time.

What light it gives

The shade shines sideways and upwards – the manufacturer calls it open light and states ULOR 75%, so most of the flux goes above the level of the luminaire. Arendal therefore works as a glowing accent by a path, terrace or driveway rather than a light that throws light onto the ground, which is worth considering near bedroom windows.

The luminaire has an E27 socket for an LED lamp up to 9 W in A55–A60 shape – wider bulbs or long candle lamps will not fit the shade. No light source is included. It was designed around the Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K, warm light as bright as an old 60 W bulb; the dimmable version of that lamp can be dimmed where the installation has a dimmer.

Installation

The bollard weighs 14.26 kg net and is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes set 120° apart on a 65 mm circle. No anchoring part is included: the manufacturer sells the concrete-in anchor 205, the ground anchor 206, the concrete foundation adapter 206S and the mounting adapter 3086 separately.

The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping through to the next bollard at the same cross-section, so several lights along a path can share one supply line; the cable can be up to 12.5 mm in diameter. It is protection class II and needs no earth conductor. The manufacturer rates impact resistance at IK06 and offers shade service kit 915600229.
