The Arendal Mini 1561GA is a 64 cm garden bollard from Norlys: a slim 9 × 9 cm body topped by an 11 cm cube of crystal glass, satin-finished on the inside. The GA version is unpainted hot-dip galvanised steel, so it shows the matt, silver-grey surface of the zinc.
How much light, and what kind
The integrated LED module draws 4 W and the luminaire gives 330 lm at 3000 K, a warm white. The whole glass head glows — over 80% of the output (ULOR 83%) goes upward and sideways, so the bollard works as a lit marker along a path or border rather than a floodlight for the ground.
It can be dimmed with a phase dimmer, either trailing edge or leading edge. The LED module is not a bulb you change yourself — a professional service replaces it using the ZS1561 kit, and Norlys states its lifetime as over 59,000 h (L70). A colour rendering index of Ra 80 shows plants and paving in believable colours.
Installation and connection
The bollard is bolted down through two Ø6.8 mm holes 38 mm apart. No anchor is included — Norlys sells a ground anchor (index 204) and a concrete-in anchor (index 203) separately. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next bollard; the cable can be up to 12.5 mm thick.
The luminaire is protection class II, so no earth conductor is needed. IP65 lets it stand outdoors without cover, and the housing is rated IK06 for impact.
Glass and construction
The crystal-glass shade may take on an amber tint over time, as Norlys notes on the product card. Hot-dip galvanised steel has no paint layer to chip when a mower or spade knocks it. The plain box form suits modern gardens, terraces and driveways.
