Arendal Mini 1567GA is a low bollard 37 cm tall: a square 9 × 9 cm body of hot-dip galvanised steel topped with a crystal-glass block that is satin-finished on the inside. The zinc coating is not painted, so the bollard keeps the raw metallic colour of galvanising, with no RAL number. The LED module is built in and included.
What light it gives
4000 K is neutral white. The luminaire delivers 345 lm from 4 W – enough to mark a path, steps or the edge of a driveway, but not to light a whole garden. The head glows all round and upwards: a BUG rating of B0-U3-G0 means part of the light goes above the horizontal, so the bollard works as a marker and decorative point rather than a directional light for the ground.
It can be dimmed with a phase dimmer and works with both trailing-edge and leading-edge dimmers, so it suits most installations. The LED module may only be replaced by Norlys professional service, and the maker lists a service kit for it, ZS1567zx0009. The module is rated for more than 59,000 h (L70).
Mounting and connection
The bollard is bolted down through two ø6.8 mm holes on a ø38 mm circle. The ground anchor 204GA0009 and the concrete anchor 203ZX0009 are sold separately – one of them has to be bought. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next luminaire, so several bollards along a path can run on one circuit. The gland accepts a round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter.
The luminaire is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth. IP65 means it can stand outdoors without shelter, and IK06 means resistance to impacts of 1 J – next to parking spaces it is better set back from the kerb.
Where it fits
The plain square form is a modern design. The bollard is intended for gardens, terraces, driveways and the street side of a property, as well as the surroundings of hotels and restaurants. The glass may take on an amber tint over time, which the maker treats as a natural property of the material.
