Arendal Big 1569BL is a low 35 cm bollard light with a square 12 × 12 cm section. Its black powder-coated steel body (RAL 9005) is topped by a 14.6 cm crystal-glass shade, satin-finished on the inside.
What light it gives
Inside is an E27 lampholder for an A55–A60 LED bulb of up to 9 W. The bulb is not included, so you choose its colour and brightness yourself, and the user can replace it without a service call. The inner satin finish hides the bulb itself and the whole shade glows. According to the manufacturer, 71% of the flux (ULOR) goes above the luminaire, so the bollard marks the edge of a path, bed or steps rather than lighting the ground widely.
The manufacturer notes that the glass shade may take on an amber tint over time. The shade is available as a spare part (service kit 915600229).
Installation and what to buy separately
The bollard is fixed through three ø9 mm holes set 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle. The mounting adapter (3086GA), concrete-in anchor (205), ground anchor (206) or concrete-foundation adapter (206S) are sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², or up to 2 × 1.5 mm² when looped through, so the supply runs on to the next bollard without a separate junction box; the cable can be up to 12.5 mm across.
The luminaire is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth. The manufacturer gives IP55/65 — at least IP55, meaning protection against dust and water jets — and an impact rating of IK06. The bollard weighs 6.85 kg.
Where it fits
The manufacturer describes Arendal Big as a luminaire of modern design: a plain cuboid with a uniform black body and a glass cube on top. At 35 cm high it suits garden paths, terraces and driveways, as well as hotel and restaurant entrances.
