The Norlys Arendal Mini 1562BL is a 64 cm bollard light with a square 9 × 9 cm cross-section. The body is hot-dip galvanised steel powder-coated black (RAL 9005), topped with an 11 cm shade of crystal glass satin-finished on the inside. The LED module is built in, so there is no bulb to buy.
How much light it gives
The fitting draws 4 W and delivers 345 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white under which plants and paving keep their natural colours without a yellow cast. Colour rendering is CRI 80. The shade glows in every direction, upwards included (BUG rating B0-U3-G0), so the bollard works as a lit marker rather than a directional lamp.
The manufacturer's isolux chart shows about 5 lx within roughly a metre of the bollard, with 1 lx reaching around 4 m. That is path or terrace-edge lighting; a whole driveway needs several fittings spaced along it. Norlys rates the LED module at L70 above 59,000 hours, meaning the output stays above 70% of its initial value for that long.
It dims on a phase-cut dimmer of either type: trailing edge or leading edge.
Fixing and wiring
The bollard is bolted down through two ø6.8 mm holes 38 mm apart. No anchor is included: Norlys ground anchor 204 suits soil, and anchor 203 is set in concrete. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and a round-sheathed cable up to ø12.5 mm, and they allow looping through to the next fitting, so a row of bollards along a path runs on one supply cable.
Protection class II means double insulation, so no earth conductor is needed. IP65 protects against dust and water jets, which lets the bollard stand outdoors unsheltered; impact resistance is IK06.
Where it fits
The plain square profile without ornament suits a modern garden. The bollard is intended for gardens, terraces and driveways, along the street in front of a property, and around hotels and restaurants. Norlys notes that the glass shade may take on an amber tint over time.
