Bazar Bizar Forked Root M Concrete Planter on Wooden Stand, Natural Brown, 55.5 cm

Forked legs that hold the pot

The name "Forked Root" describes the construction literally. The stand is four wooden legs, each forking at the top like a root, and the forks cradle the pot and carry it from below. There are no clamps, no straps, no screws visible from outside — the vessel simply slots between the forks and rests on them under its own weight. It looks simple, but it demands the forks fit the taper of the pot precisely.

Concrete and solid wood — two materials, two jobs

The pot is concrete, the stand solid wood. The division of labour is obvious: concrete brings mass and a cool, matt surface that does not warp with the damp of the soil; wood brings the warm tone and lifts the whole thing off the floor. The pot's surface is hand-painted in a natural warm brown — hence the subtle differences in tone and texture between pieces. Every part is made by hand, so no two are identical.

55.5 cm — a planter that does not sit on the floor

The whole stands 55.5 cm tall on a 26.5 × 25.5 cm footprint. That height is the point of the design: the plant arrives at roughly sofa-seat level, so the foliage spreads within the eyeline of someone sitting down rather than at their feet. The space beneath the stand stays clear and can be vacuumed in one pass — a practical difference from a heavy pot sitting flat on the floor.

Indoors only — a condition, not a suggestion

Concrete suggests the garden, but this set is meant for indoor use only. The manufacturer explicitly requires keeping it away from standing water, rain, humidity and prolonged sunlight — because of the hand-painted surface, which outdoors will fade and start to flake, and because of the wooden base. Plant into a plastic inner pot and drop that into the concrete vessel rather than watering directly.

Care

Remove dust with a soft, dry cloth; where needed, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately afterwards. No detergents, no abrasives. Bear in mind, too, that cement-based pieces are brittle at the edges — a drop or a knock against a hard floor can chip the rim, so when moving it, take hold of the vessel rather than the legs of the stand.
