Bollard Light NORLYS Molde DC1905BL black LED 7.2 W 2700 K 50 cm 24 V DC

Molde DC1905BL is a 50 cm NORLYS bollard that runs on 24 V DC low voltage. The rectangular cast-aluminium body is 11 cm wide and curves forward at the top into a head that shines downwards, hence its 16.5 cm depth. It is powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and the light passes through a clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate lens.

24 V DC supply – what you need to buy

The bollard is not connected directly to the 230 V mains. It needs an external, voltage-stabilised 24 V DC driver, which is not included; choosing and installing it is a job for a qualified person. The luminaire is protection class III, so it runs on safety extra-low voltage and needs no protective earth.

The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm², also when looped through, so several bollards can be fed from one line. The cable entry accepts round cable of 5–12 mm diameter. The LED modules are suitable for dimming; how they are controlled depends on the driver and the installation design.

How much light, and what kind

The two Cree LED modules draw 7.2 W together. The sources produce 1024 lm, and after the head and lens 435 lm leaves the luminaire, i.e. 60.4 lm/W. Enough for the paving around the bollard, a path or a terrace edge, not a whole garden. 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light with CRI 80, and SDCM3 colour consistency means several bollards side by side show the same shade.

The head is shielded from above and the light is diffused: 2.89 % of the flux goes upwards and the BUG rating is B0-U1-G0, so the bollard lights the ground around it rather than the sky.

Installation, durability and service

The bollard is fixed through four ø7 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm and weighs 1.48 kg. Ground and concreting anchors, a concrete-foundation adapter and mounting adapters are sold separately and chosen to suit the substrate.

IP54 means protection against dust and splashing water from any direction, and the operating range is −30 to +50 °C. The manufacturer states L80 above 102,000 h and L90 above 52,600 h. Only a professional service replaces the LED modules; a service kit and spare lens are available. NORLYS intends Molde for private grounds and architectural projects, and the plain body with its curved head suits modern, minimalist buildings.
