COCENT is a round recessed ceiling luminaire 13.6 cm across. Once installed only the deep matt black ring shows; inside it sits a micro-prismatic diffuser, and a finned aluminium heatsink closes the top of the body.
How big it is and how it seats
The body is 13.6 cm in diameter and 5.7 cm high. The second figure is the more important one here: it is the depth the fitting needs above the ceiling plane, so it is worth comparing with the free space in a suspended ceiling or a boxed-in run.
Two spring clips on the sides hold the fitting: once wired, it pushes up into the opening from below and the clips spread out above the board. The whole luminaire weighs 0.42 kg and runs on 230 V.
The light it gives
The built-in LED module draws 14 W and delivers 1212 lm — clearly more than an old 60 W bulb, which gave around 800 lm. 4000 K is neutral white: cooler than incandescent light, without the blue cast of 5000 K and above.
The colour rendering index is above Ra 90. At that level colours read almost as they do in daylight, which matters wherever they have to be judged — over a worktop, at a mirror or in a wardrobe. The light leaves in a 90° cone through the micro-prismatic diffuser, which spreads it rather than showing the bare diodes. The module is permanently built in: no bulb is chosen for this fitting and none is replaced.
Build and service life
The body is aluminium in a matt black finish. The finned heatsink on top carries heat away from the module — on a fitting whose source cannot be swapped, that is what decides how long the source keeps working. The manufacturer states a life of 50,000 hours and a five-year guarantee.
IP20 places the fitting in dry interiors. The black ring stands out against a light ceiling, so it stays visible as a piece of the finish rather than disappearing into the plane the way white versions do.
