WoodMan LAYTI 140 is a folding futon sofa with a cream mattress and an exposed solid-beech frame. This WUA-01109 variant has a natural wood finish treated with linseed oil. The timber remains visible beside and beneath the mattress, while the tufted surface and low frame give the sofa a restrained, Japanese-inspired outline.
A sofa that opens into a 140 × 200 cm bed
When opened out, the mattress provides a sleeping surface measuring 140 cm wide by 200 cm long. The sofa occupies a depth of 115 cm when folded and 200 cm when opened. Check both measurements against the intended position in a living room or guest room, allowing for the passage around it and the position of a coffee table. Wall width alone will not show whether there is enough room to use the bed configuration.
The seat is 45 cm high and 69 cm deep. These figures are useful when comparing the futon with a sofa you already use. Its low exposed base and open sides leave the wooden structure visible in the seated configuration rather than hiding it behind upholstered side panels.
Natural beech with a cream mattress
The frame is solid beech, and the mattress has polyester fabric with cotton filling. The mattress is included: this is not an offer for the bare wooden frame. The combination of pale timber, light fabric and visible construction works with minimalist, Scandinavian and Japandi interiors where the frame can remain part of the furniture's appearance.
Assembly and the two packages
The sofa requires assembly. The manufacturer lists an instruction sheet and assembly tools as included, with the frame and mattress supplied in two separate packages. Allow space for unpacking and putting the frame together before laying the mattress on it and moving the completed sofa into its intended position.
