Ideallux SLOT 270531 is a black aluminium profile for building a linear lighting system with LED strip. This 300 cm SUR D35XD37 version has a rectangular cross-section and a satin-finish PMMA diffuser. It is a system component rather than a ready-to-use luminaire with its light source already installed.
A three-metre run with a defined cross-section
The profile is 3000 mm long, 37 mm high and 35 mm deep. Its length allows a three-metre section to be planned without joining several shorter profiles along the same run. Check both cross-section measurements against the available ceiling space and your intended fixing arrangement, rather than treating this version as a flat trimless recessed strip.
The manufacturer's instructions show suspended installation and attachment using clips. For extending a run with adjoining profiles, they specify the VISION KIT STRAIGHT CONTINUOUS connector. Plan the fixing points and joints before inserting the LED strip, particularly when the lighting line will use more than one profile.
Choose the strip and power supply as a system
The technical sheet allows LED strip rated up to 40 W/m and specifies a remote driver. That figure is the permitted strip power per metre, not the profile's own consumption. Colour temperature, brightness and control options depend on the electrical components you choose; they are not fixed properties of this black aluminium version.
Install the strip and suitable driver before fitting the cover. The manufacturer requires installation by a qualified electrician. Before ordering the remaining components, check the compatibility of the strip, fixings and power supply with the planned length and mounting method.
A restrained black architectural detail
Straight sides and the contrast between the black housing and satin diffuser suit modern and minimalist interiors. The profile can form the basis of linear lighting in a kitchen, living room, dining room, office or corridor. The actual lighting result depends on the completed configuration, not simply on the appearance of the profile.
