Keter Lighting MELLE WOOD 2031 wall light, 1xE27, black with wood and honey-coloured glass

Keter Lighting's MELLE WOOD 2031 is a single-light wall fitting with a round wooden backplate, a black arm and a spherical honey-coloured glass shade. The bulb remains visible through the glass, making its shape part of the fitting's appearance. The natural wood tone distinguishes this version from MELLE variants with a single-colour backplate.

A visible bulb, purchased separately

The rounded shade is open underneath, with the lamp holder positioned beneath a black cover at the top. Unlike an opaque shade, the glass does not conceal the outline of the bulb. When choosing a light source, consider the appearance of its envelope as well as its lighting specifications. The manufacturer's photograph shows a decorative bulb as an example, but the fitting is supplied without a light source.

There is one E27 lamp holder and the stated maximum wattage is 60 W. You therefore need to purchase one compatible bulb separately. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulb you select; the honey colour of the glass is not a Kelvin rating. Check the light source's own specifications rather than treating the shade colour as a fixed lighting characteristic.

Check the wall space before ordering

The fitting measures 25 cm high and 15 cm wide, with a manufacturer-listed length of 23 cm. Compare these dimensions with the proposed wall area, nearby furniture and the space used by people passing. The arm and glass shade need consideration in a hallway rather than being treated as a flush wall fitting. The round wooden backplate is also visible and forms part of the arrangement.

Wood, black metal and rounded glass

The frame combines metal and wood, while the shade is glass. Its simple geometry, exposed bulb and black arm support modern and industrial styling. It can serve as supplementary wall lighting in a living room, bedroom, dining room, entrance hall or corridor. The manufacturer specifies indoor use, not garden installation. The transparent shade should not be confused with the directional reflector of a dedicated reading light.
