FOSKAL WHITE WOOD is a two-arm wall light on a round backplate of natural wood. The white arms carry two shades shaped as diamond wire cages — open, latticed, with no glass and no diffuser. Pairing raw metal mesh with warm, unpainted wood is the whole idea of this lamp.

A shade that does not hide the bulb

The wire cage does not screen the light source — the bulb is part of the decoration and is fully visible. Bulb choice therefore matters more than in fittings with glass or fabric: decorative globe or Edison bulbs with an amber envelope give a soft, warm effect and cast the cage's shadow onto the wall. A clear high-power bulb, by contrast, will glare if the fitting sits at eye level.

Light sources

The fitting has two E27 lampholders rated at a maximum of 60 W each. Bulbs are not included — buy a matched pair, because both are fully visible and any difference in colour or shape shows at once. There is no dimming in the fitting itself; if control is wanted, dimmable bulbs and a dimmer in the installation are needed.

Build and installation

The construction is metal (arms and shades) and wood (the wall plate). Colours: white and natural wood. Supply 230 V, mounted on a flush wall box. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry rooms — it is not suitable for the wet zones of a bathroom.
