NORLYS 2001GR is a fixed-height 450 cm lighting pole made of an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016. The lower section is Ø120 mm in diameter and the upper section Ø60 mm – the luminaire is fitted on top of it. An inspection door sits in the lower part of the shaft.
A pole for a luminaire bought separately
This is the pole alone, with no luminaire and no light source – brightness, colour temperature and distribution depend on the lamp mounted on top. The Ø60 mm top end sets the choice: it takes a post-top luminaire with a mounting for that diameter. The height cannot be adjusted, so 450 cm is the figure to check against the lighting plan for a street, driveway or square.
The pole weighs 14.5 kg net and 18.5 kg gross. It ships in a 14 × 25 × 240 cm carton, i.e. a 2.4 m long parcel – allow for that when transporting and unloading it.
Foundation and wiring
The pole is designed to be set on a GUL 900 foundation (no. 77 786 70) using a Gul 120 ring (no. 77 790 38), following the installation instructions supplied with the pole. Norlys sells the other accessories separately.
The inspection door gives access to the connections inside the shaft. The pole has a PE protective-conductor terminal and protection class I, so it must be connected to a protective earth. The wiring method depends on the supply system used and is described in the instructions; installation is for a qualified electrician.
Where it fits
Norlys intends the 2001 pole for private grounds as well as traffic areas, and the EN 40 mark on the datasheet refers to the European standard for lighting columns. The smooth, round shaft without ornament in graphite suits modern, minimalist post-top luminaires. Norlys also makes this pole in aluminium, white and black, and other RAL colours to order.
