Linear luminaire for 48 V track System Shift Smart LINE M 18 W CCT black

System Shift Smart LINE M is a linear luminaire for the 48 V magnetic track: a black bar 602 mm long, 23 mm wide and 42 mm high, with a lit band running the whole length of its lower edge. The magnetic adapter that holds it to the track sits in the middle of the back.

What it works with and what else you need

The luminaire runs on 48 V DC and mounts only on the Shift system track. The track and the system power supply are separate articles — without them the luminaire has nothing to draw power from.

The bar takes up 602 mm of track, a little over half a metre. When planning a run, that figure decides how many luminaires fit on a section and how much gap is left between them.

How much light it gives

The luminaire puts out 650 lm at 18 W, and the light opens to 100 °, so it covers a strip under the track rather than a single spot. The built-in source cannot be replaced; the manufacturer rates it at 50 000 h and 25 000 switching cycles.

Colour switches between 3000 K, 4000 K and 6000 K, that is from warm white to cool, and brightness can be dimmed — both are handled through the SMART system. Colour rendering of Ra 90 means colours look almost as they do in daylight, which matters where goods or materials are being looked at.

Where it can work

The manufacturer intends the luminaire for indoor use only: IP20 gives no protection against water at all, and the operating temperature range runs from -20 to +40 °C. The housing is aluminium.

The luminaire works in protection class III, on the safety extra-low voltage supplied by the system power unit. The manufacturer gives a 5-year warranty.
