Mantra ASPEN 7022 black recessed LED step light 3 W 3000 K

Mantra ASPEN 7022 is a round recessed wall step light with a sand-textured black finish. A small, inset light opening sits within its broad circular face, leaving a simple geometric point on the wall rather than a projecting shade. The manufacturer identifies the material as PC, or polycarbonate.

Allow space behind the visible face

The outside diameter is 8 cm, while the technical drawing gives a body dimension of 8.5 cm. These measurements answer different questions: one describes the visible face and the other helps assess the space needed behind the mounting surface. Compare both with the wall construction and cable route before preparing a recess. The face diameter should not be treated as a confirmed installation cut-out diameter.

The instructions show recessed wall mounting. This is not a street lantern, and the documentation does not establish that it can be driven over. When planning lighting beside a driveway, distinguish a light set into a side wall from a fitting installed directly in the traffic surface.

Warm-white light for local marking

The integrated LED is rated at 3 W, with a fixed colour temperature of 3000 K and a stated luminous flux of 210 lm. That combination suits local step or circulation-edge marking rather than replacing the main lighting for a whole garden. There is no colour-temperature selection on this version. It is also non-dimmable, so its brightness is not intended to be adjusted with a conventional dimmer. No separate screw-base bulb needs to be selected.

Outdoor placement and a restrained appearance

The manufacturer specifies outdoor use and an IP65 rating. Consider it for wall-mounted step marking beside a terrace, on a facade or in a masonry boundary wall. Its electrical input is 220–240 V, and Class I construction requires a correctly connected protective earth. The RAL 9005 black finish, circular face and absence of ornamental details support modern and minimalist schemes. When using several fittings, base their positions on the actual steps and lighting requirements rather than simply repeating the diameter of the faceplate.
