Namsos Mini 5156GR Outdoor Wall Light Graphite LED 4.2 W 4000 K NORLYS

Namsos Mini 5156GR is a small outdoor wall light with a square 112 × 112 mm front that stands just 36.5 mm off the wall. The cast aluminium body is powder-coated graphite (RAL 7016) and has a recessed window of satin safety glass in the lower part of the front, through which the light falls downwards.

What light it gives

The integrated LED module is rated at 4 W and the whole light draws 4.2 W. The source produces 466 lm, and 162 lm of diffused light at 4000 K, a neutral white, leaves the fitting. This is orientation light: it lights the steps and the path below the fitting rather than the whole surroundings. ULOR 0% means no light is emitted above the horizontal, so it does not light the sky or the windows above it.

The light can be dimmed with a phase dimmer — it works with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers, so it suits both common types of controller. The LED module is integrated and is not replaced by the user: a professional service replaces it, and the manufacturer offers service kit ZS5156 for this. The module's L70 lifetime is over 59,000 h.

Installation and wiring

The light is screwed to the wall through two ø4.2 mm holes spaced 97 mm apart. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and further fittings can be looped through with conductors up to 3 × 1.5 mm² — along a staircase, several lights then run from a single supply line. The cable gland takes a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter.

It is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to the protective earth conductor. IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets.

Where it fits

The manufacturer intends Namsos Mini for lighting stairs, steps, stairwells and walkways. A small, flat square without ornament in graphite is a modern form that disappears into the wall by day and leaves a pool of light on the steps after dark.
