Nordlux Andor GU10 IP67 ground recessed light, 11 × 11 cm, stainless steel

Nordlux Andor 2218410034 is a ground recessed light with a square stainless-steel plate and a round light window. Its aluminium and stainless-steel construction leaves a geometric detail at surface level rather than a tall lighting post. It has one GU10 socket, not an integrated LED module.

A square fitting beside paths and in gardens

Nordlux specifies driveways, walkways and gardens as intended applications. The recessed body positions the light at ground level. The official setting photograph shows several fittings illuminating a wall beside a pedestrian route. A simple plate with four visible screws suits modern and minimalist layouts where the fitting should not become a prominent vertical feature.

The top plate measures 11 × 11 cm, the fitting is 14.8 cm high and the required mounting hole is 10 cm in diameter. Compare these measurements with the space available below the surface before choosing a position. The square top does not require a square cut-out. A driveway application should not, on its own, be read as confirmation of a vehicle load rating.

Choose the light through a separate GU10 bulb

No bulb is included. The maximum permitted bulb wattage is 15 W: this is a source limit, not a promise of brightness or a statement of the installed fitting's actual consumption. Colour temperature, output and beam angle depend on the bulb you select. The illuminated photographs illustrate the fitting in use rather than the specifications of a supplied source.

Dimming is possible with a dimmable bulb and suitable control equipment. Andor requires a fixed connection to a 220–240 V supply and an earth connection as a Class I fitting. Nordlux also permits parallel connection, which can be considered when planning several lighting points.

IP67 does not remove the need for surface care

IP67 covers dust protection and the effects of temporary immersion under specified conditions; it does not establish suitability for permanent underwater use. Nordlux does not recommend this version for seaside locations. The instructions call for stainless-steel care before installation using acid-free oil and a soft cloth, with the treatment repeated three or four times a year.
