Asker Pole Pro 5229 is a complete 3 m lighting pole, with pole and luminaire in one unit. The body is an extruded aluminium profile 11 cm wide, built in two segments and powder-coated light grey RAL 9006. At the top the profile turns into a 39 cm horizontal arm, and a sealed clear PMMA lens sits in its underside.

How much light, and what kind

The Philips Fortimo FastFlex LED module is rated 16.8 W and 2910 lm; the luminaire as a whole draws 19.4 W and emits 2834 lm, which is 146.1 lm/W. 4000 K is neutral white, noticeably cooler than 2700–3000 K home lighting. CRI 70 suits orientation and path lighting rather than colour-critical tasks.

The Ledil T2-L lens gives an IESNA type III distribution — a wide, elongated pool of light thrown forward of the pole, meant for poles standing beside the path or road. Photometry is calculated for a 3 m mounting height, with a BUG rating of B1-U2-G1 and ULOR 0.83%, so almost all light goes down.

Dimming, power and service

The driver is built in and allows dimming with a phase dimmer, both trailing edge (TE) and leading edge (LE). The luminaire runs on 220–240 V; it is protection class I, so it must be connected to a protective earth conductor. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and a round cable of 8–12 mm or 10–13.6 mm diameter, and further poles can be looped through.

The LED module and lens form an optical unit sealed to IP67; the luminaire as a whole is IP65 and impact-rated IK08 (5 J). The module and driver are replaced by a professional service using the ZS5206 service kit. The manufacturer rates the module at L90B10 above 100,000 h and the driver at 100,000 h.

Installation and foundation

The pole stands on a base plate bolted to four M14 studs at 180 × 180 mm and fits the B 50 concrete foundation. The 1259 mounting adapter, the 180 ground anchor and the 3091 concrete anchor are sold separately. The luminaire's side surface area is 0.35 m² — the figure used when sizing the foundation for wind load. The pole weighs 10 kg; installation should be done by a qualified person.
