The Skara 2939AL is an 85 cm bollard made from a rectangular extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006. The top section projects forward like a canopy, and beneath it sits an LED module with four lenses behind a clear PMMA cover.
How it distributes light
The Ledil VSM lenses give an IESNA type V distribution, a symmetrical pool of light around the bollard rather than a narrow strip in front of it. The luminaire draws 7.7 W and delivers 604 lm at 3000 K, a warm white, with CRI 80. ULOR is 1.86%, so almost all the light goes onto the ground rather than into the sky.
The bollard can be phase-dimmed, but only with a trailing-edge (TE) dimmer. The Philips Xitanium driver is built in. The LED module and the driver are separate Norlys spare parts, replaced by a professional service. The manufacturer rates the module at more than 109,000 h (L90) and the driver at 50,000 h.
Dimensions and installation
The bollard is 85 cm high with a 12 × 24 cm cross-section. It is bolted down with four bolts through ø7 mm holes on a 64 × 64 mm pattern; the concrete anchor (2934ZX) is bought separately. The bollard weighs 5.5 kg.
The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow the next bollard to be looped through, and the gland accepts a round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter, so a row of bollards along a path runs from one supply line. The luminaire is protection class II, so no protective earth is needed. IP65 means protection against dust and water jets, while the optical unit itself (module and lenses) is IP67. Impact resistance is IK08.
Where it fits
The Skara 2939AL is intended for gardens, terraces, driveways and residential streets. Its plain, square-edged body without ornament combines Scandinavian and modern styles.
