NORLYS Skara 2947AL Light Grey LED Bollard RAL 9006 with 2 × 230 V Sockets, 3000 K, 85 cm

Skara 2947AL is an 85 cm bollard light with two power sockets in its front face. The extruded aluminium body, powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006, ends in a canopy that projects forward, with the LED module and lens underneath shining down. The manufacturer describes the design as contemporary and intends the bollard for private grounds.

230 V sockets in the bollard

Two type E (Uni) 16 A sockets with an earth pin are built in, the type used in Poland and France. They take type E plugs and hybrid CEE 7/7 plugs; a plain Schuko plug without the hole for the pin will not fit. The load is up to 3600 W on one socket or 1800 W each when both are used, so garden equipment by a lawn or driveway does not need an extension lead from the house. The housing is IP54 (dust and splashing water from all sides) and IK08 impact resistant.

What light it gives

The LED module produces 828 lm, and 604 lm leaves the fitting at a draw of 7.7 W. 3000 K is a warm white, at CRI 80. The Ledil VSM lens gives an IESNA type V distribution, a round pool of light around the bollard, and ULOR 1.86% means practically nothing escapes upwards – no light into windows or the sky. The light is phase-dimmable, but only with a trailing-edge dimmer.

Mounting, wiring and servicing

The bollard has a 12 × 24 cm footprint, weighs 6 kg and is bolted down through four ø7 mm holes spaced 64 × 64 mm; the concreting anchor (2934ZX0009) is sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow further bollards to be looped from it, with a cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter. It is a protection class II luminaire. The LED module and the driver are replaced by a professional service, and both are available as spare parts. The manufacturer rates the module at over 109,000 h (L90) and the driver at 50,000 h.
