Lillehammer DC1587CG is a NORLYS outdoor wall light shaped as a compact upright block of cast aluminium, powder-coated cement grey (RAL 7033). The top face carries a pane of clear safety glass, and that is the only side the light leaves from. The DC prefix marks the version that runs on 24 V DC.

What light this fitting gives

The 3.6 W Cree LED module produces 532 lm, and 115 lm leaves the luminaire: the optic forms a 60° beam aimed upwards, with a luminous intensity of 163 cd. A cone of light widening upwards appears on the wall above the fitting, so this is a light for grazing masonry, façades and architectural details rather than for lighting an entrance or a path.

All of the flux goes upwards: ULOR is 100 % and the BUG rating B0-U3-G0. There should therefore be a stretch of wall above the fitting for the beam to light. 3000 K is a warm white with CRI 80, and SDCM3 colour consistency means several fittings on one wall show the same shade. The manufacturer states L80 above 102,000 h and L90 above 52,600 h; the LED module is replaced by a professional service only.

24 V DC supply – what you need to buy

The wall light is not connected directly to the 230 V mains. It needs an external, voltage-stabilised 24 V DC driver, which is not included; choosing it and installing it is left to a qualified person. Protection class III means it runs on safety extra-low voltage and needs no protective earth. The module is dimmable, and control depends on the driver and the installation design. The same body for 230 V is 1587CG.

Size, mounting and durability

The fitting is 18.5 cm tall and 8 cm wide and projects 11 cm from the wall; it weighs 1.57 kg. It is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², or up to 2 × 1.5 mm² when looped through, so several lights can be fed from one line; the round cable should be 7–10.5 mm across.

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the light can hang on a wall without any canopy, and IK08 means increased impact resistance. The operating range is −30 to +65 °C.
