Paul Neuhaus PURE Mira 356-18 floor lamp, anthracite, 1xLED

Paul Neuhaus PURE Mira 356-18 is an LED floor lamp. A flat rectangular head sits at the end of a slender stem with a rectangular base. Body finish: Black Pearl. The LED sources are included, so there is no need to select separate bulbs before using it.

Dimensions and positioning

Overall height is 129–138 cm and the outline measures 22–60 × 22–46 cm in plan. Compare these dimensions with the available space beside or on a piece of furniture. Allow for the complete fitting, rather than only its narrow stem or the point where it touches the supporting surface.

The head rotates and tilts, while a ball joint at the base also changes the position of the stem. Overall dimensions therefore depend on how the parts are positioned. A white acrylic cover shields the source in the flat head; light direction is adjusted mechanically, independently of colour and brightness.

Separate control of light colour and brightness

The LED light sources are included. CCT adjustment covers 2700–5000 K, from warm, slightly yellowish light to a distinctly cooler white. Brightness can be reduced continuously, independently of the colour setting. There is therefore no need to change the light source to obtain softer light at the same shade of white.

A radio remote control is included and also operates the light. The memory function restores the last lighting setting when the fitting is switched on again. Your chosen colour and brightness therefore do not need to be recreated from the beginning every time. The foot switch turns the lamp on and off without reaching for its upper section. The remote adjusts the light, so the two controls perform different jobs.

The complete fitting delivers 550 lm. This is the useful figure for comparing the brightness of finished lights because it accounts for the light leaving the body. Dimming reduces that output whenever full brightness is not needed.

The complete lamp draws 7.5 W. This figure describes its energy consumption in operation, while the amount of emitted light is expressed in lumens. These are two different pieces of information when comparing fittings.
