Organic P0265D is a pendant lamp built from ten slender tubes, each hanging on its own cable at a different height. A tube measures 2.5 cm across and 45 cm long, and the whole set is closed off by a round ceiling canopy 20 cm in diameter. The materials are stainless steel in a glossy gold finish and acrylic - each tube ends in a light-emitting element at the bottom.
How big the lamp is and how to hang it
The maximum drop is 180 cm, measured from the ceiling to the lowest tube. The cables are shortened one by one, so the shape of the cascade is set on site. In a room with a standard 2.5 m ceiling the full drop cannot be used - 180 cm is a figure for a tall room or a space open across two floors.
Above a table the cables are usually shortened so that the lowest tube sits 70-80 cm above the tabletop. The manufacturer intends the lamp for above a dining table and above a kitchen island, that is, wherever it hangs over a defined surface. The 20 cm canopy covers a standard junction box.
How much light Organic P0265D gives
The tubes hold ten 1 W LED modules with a combined output of 600 lm. That is less than an old 60 W bulb, so the fitting casts ten narrow beams downwards and works as decorative light - lighting a whole room evenly calls for a second source.
3000 K is warm white with a slightly yellow cast. The light sources are built in permanently and cannot be replaced; for the complete fitting the manufacturer states energy class G. The lamp can be dimmed, but the dimmer has to be bought and wired in separately.
Build and series
The tubes have smooth walls with no ornament, and the only visible fixing is the set of thin support cables. The gold is glossy, so the surface reflects the room and daylight - a modern shape kept to a single colour.
Organic is a family in which the manufacturer also offers ceiling lights and wall lights alongside the pendants, in at least two metallic colours. Wall or ceiling fittings from the same series can therefore be added to match.
