Plant hoop Boho Spirit S diameter 50cm

Boho Spirit S is a 50 cm hoop densely planted with artificial foliage, made to hang horizontally below the ceiling. The composition combines oak leaves, ferns and long trailing stems in several shades of green that fall below the rim of the hoop.

How big it is and where it hangs

The S in the name is the smallest size in the family: 0.5 m across. The maker builds the same composition at 100 cm (M), 140 cm (L) and 180 cm (XL), and to order at any diameter between 100 and 180 cm — so the 50 is the version for a smaller table or a narrow room rather than for a long banquet table.

The hoop arrives ready to hang below the ceiling. It hangs flat, with the foliage falling freely, so clear space is needed underneath — worth measuring the ceiling height and whatever stands directly below.

What it is made of and what it does not need

The plants are artificial, made from textiles, plastics and rubber. The maker states that the composition needs no watering, no sunlight and no maintenance at all — so it can go up in a windowless spot, over a table in a venue, or in a corridor where living plants would not last.

One hoop brings together between four and ten different species. That count, rather than the size, is what produces the dense irregular structure: a single plant repeated all the way round reads as a wreath, while a mix of varieties reads as a piece of greenery.

Every piece is assembled by hand

The hoops are built one at a time, to order, in the maker's own workshop. Two examples of the same composition are therefore not identical, and the piece delivered may differ from the photograph in how the stems sit — that is how it is made, not a departure from the description.

The composition is boho in character: unarranged greenery with no flowers and no ornament. The maker aims it at homes as well as at restaurants and cafés, and at wedding venues.
