Recessed Downlight SLV NUMINOS DL XL 4000K Black/Chrome 37.4W 1004041

SLV NUMINOS DL XL 1004041 is a round recessed downlight with a black outer ring and a polished chrome reflector. This 4000 K version delivers neutral white light through a 55° beam, pairing a clearly defined ceiling outline with a reflective inner surface.

A wider beam for planned general lighting

With an output of 3750 lm and a power rating of 37.4 W, this version belongs in a lighting calculation rather than being treated as a small decorative pinspot. Its 55° beam covers a broader area than a narrow spotlight. The number of fittings and their spacing still depend on ceiling height and the illuminance needed on the surface below.

A CRI of 90 is relevant where the colours of furnishings, materials or displayed merchandise matter. Neutral white light can suit offices, studies, shops and corridors. Kitchens, living rooms and dining areas are also possible applications where the lighting scheme specifically calls for 4000 K. This version does not have a colour-temperature selector.

Check the ceiling void and driver requirements

The visible outer diameter is 16 cm, whereas the circular installation opening must measure 14.5 cm. Overall height is 10.8 cm, and SLV specifies an installation depth of 11.5 cm. Compare both dimensions with the available ceiling void before ordering, allowing for the ventilation requirements in the manual. Do not cover the housing with insulating material.

The LED module requires a suitable constant-current driver delivering 1050 mA and rated for at least 37.4 W. Electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Any replacement of the light source is also a professional task, rather than a routine bulb change by the user.

Black trim with a reflective centre

The aluminium body and simple circular outline support modern and minimalist interiors. Against a pale ceiling, the black ring remains a visible feature rather than blending into the background. The fitting is intended for indoor use only; its IP20/IP44 designation does not authorise outdoor installation. For exterior-surface cleaning, the manual specifies a cloth lightly dampened with water, with power disconnected and the fitting allowed to cool first.
