s.luce Cloud table lamp black Ø 40 cm GU10 with rotary dimmer

The s.luce Cloud table lamp 177691 is the black metal variant with a 40 cm reflector disc and an overall height of 54 cm. A round disc stands above the cylindrical base; the body holds one GU10 lampholder and a rotary dimmer. No bulb is included — you choose the GU10, including a smart lamp if you want scenes that are independent of the knob.

How much space it needs

A 40 cm diameter and 54 cm height make a large table lamp, not a low bedside puck. On a nightstand about 40 cm deep the disc reaches the front edge — measure furniture depth and the clear height under a shelf or picture frame. On a sideboard, console or dresser the 40 cm disc reads as a vertical shield that needs a little air around it.

The cable leaves the base at tabletop level. IP20 and protection class I mean a dry indoor room at 230 V. It is not a bathroom or outdoor luminaire.

GU10, dimmer and light pattern

There is one GU10 socket in the base. Luminous flux, wattage and colour temperature come from the lamp you fit, because none is supplied. The manufacturer states CRI above 80 on the fitting; still read the source packaging if colour rendering matters.

A rotary dimmer sits on the side of the cylinder. It varies brightness continuously, from a lower evening level to the lamp’s full output, without a wall dimmer. A non-dimmable or app-only GU10 may not follow the knob as you expect — choose a dimmable GU10 or keep control in the lamp on purpose.

Light leaves the open top of the cylinder and washes the disc from below, so the room sees both the brightened disc and an upward spill. This is not a closed shade.

Form and where it belongs

The layout is geometric: a vertical cylinder and a large black metal disc, with no fabric shade. That suits a modern interior where the lamp should read as a disc rather than a textile. A deep enough nightstand, wall console or sideboard top is more practical than a low coffee table.

s.luce tags living room, bedroom and dining room. In a bedroom check that 54 cm clears the bed frame and that the disc does not shine into your eyes when you lie down. In a dining room this is light on a sideboard or buffet, not over the table.
