Skara 2942BL is an 85 cm NORLYS bollard made from an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated black (RAL 9005). The shaft measures 12 × 24 cm in section, and the cantilevered head at the top shines downwards through a Ledil VSM lens. This index has no power sockets — the Skara versions with 230 V sockets have their own numbers.
What light it gives
The 5.8 W LED module produces 828 lm, and the whole fitting draws 7.7 W and delivers 616 lm. 4000 K is a neutral white under which paving and gravel look clean, without a yellow cast; the CRI is 80. The lens gives a symmetrical IESNA type V distribution, a round pool of light around the bollard rather than a strip stretched along a path, which suits areas lit from a single point such as a terrace, a driveway or an entrance from the street. Only 1.94% of the output goes upwards (BUG B1-U1-G1), so nearly all the light falls on the ground.
DALI2 control and wiring
The fitting runs on DALI2: switching and dimming are digital, through a DALI controller or gateway, not through an ordinary phase dimmer. In the Skara range the same distribution and colour temperature come as index 2941, which Norlys lists as dimmable without DALI2. The terminals take up to five 2.5 mm² conductors and allow further fittings to be looped through, and the cable can be up to 12.5 mm in diameter. With an inrush current of 5 A / 220 µs, Norlys allows 82 of these fittings on one B 10A circuit breaker and 130 on a B 16A.
Installation, sealing and service
The bollard is bolted down through four ø7 mm holes on a 64 × 64 mm pattern; the 2934 concrete anchor is sold separately. The housing is IP65 and IK08, and protection class II means no protective earth conductor is needed. The LED module and driver are built in but can be replaced by a professional service, and Norlys stocks both as spare parts. The stated lifetime is L90 above 109,000 h for the module and 100,000 h for the driver. The bollard weighs 5.5 kg.
