Skara 2942GR Graphite LED Bollard Light 4000K DALI2 by NORLYS

Skara 2942GR is an 85 cm bollard light made from an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). The shaft measures 12 × 24 cm in section, and the projecting head at the top shines downwards through a Ledil VSM lens. This index has no power sockets – the Skara versions with 230 V sockets carry their own article numbers.

What light it gives

The 5.8 W LED module produces 828 lm, and 616 lm leaves the complete luminaire, which draws 7.7 W. 4000 K is neutral white, under which paths and paving look clean, without a yellow cast; CRI is 80. The lens gives a symmetrical IESNA type V distribution – a round pool of light around the bollard rather than a strip stretched along a path. That suits places lit from a single point, such as a terrace, a driveway or the entrance from the street. Only 1.94% of the flux goes upwards (BUG B1-U1-G1), so almost all of the light lands on the ground.

DALI2 control

The luminaire is controlled over DALI2: switching and dimming are digital, through a DALI controller or gateway, not through an ordinary phase dimmer. In the Skara family, index 2941 has the same distribution and colour temperature and is listed by the manufacturer as dimmable rather than DALI2. The terminals take up to five 2.5 mm² conductors and allow further luminaires to be looped through, and the cable may be up to 12.5 mm in diameter. With an inrush current of 5 A / 220 µs, the manufacturer allows 82 of these luminaires on one B 10A circuit breaker and 130 on a B 16A.

Installation and service

The bollard is bolted down through four ø7 mm holes on a 64 × 64 mm pattern; the concreting anchor (index 2934) is sold separately. The housing is rated IP65 with IK08 impact resistance, and protection class II means no protective earth conductor is needed. The LED module and driver are built in, yet a professional service can replace both, and each has its own spare-part number. The manufacturer rates the module at L90 above 109,000 h and the driver at 100,000 h. The bollard weighs 5.5 kg.
