Spot Light VITAR WOOD 2515160 is a square recessed ceiling spotlight made from birch wood, with a chrome ring surrounding the bulb. The pale wooden face contrasts with its circular centre. This version has one GU10 socket and fits into the ceiling rather than forming a surface-mounted light with an enclosed shade.

Allow for the parts behind the ceiling

The visible wooden face measures 95 × 95 mm and is 10 mm thick. The manufacturer's drawing also shows a total height of 60 mm with the bulb fitted, together with lateral retaining springs. The socket and light source therefore occupy space behind the ceiling plane; the thickness of the wooden face is not the depth of the complete assembly.

Before choosing this recessed fitting, compare the available installation space with the technical drawing. From the room, you see a small wooden square, but its front dimensions do not describe the hidden parts. This distinction matters when selecting lights for an existing ceiling, where the appearance of the front alone cannot establish whether the assembly will fit.

A replaceable GU10 bulb

The manufacturer confirms that a bulb is included and specifies a maximum bulb power of 6 W. The LED is not integrated into the fitting: a GU10 socket allows the light source to be replaced. When choosing a replacement, retain both the correct base and the specified power limit. The fitting uses a 230 V supply.

Birch and chrome within a ceiling layout

The wooden square and simple chrome detail can accompany pale timber and clean-lined furniture in Scandinavian, modern or minimalist interiors. Consider it as an individual point or part of a group when planning lighting for a hallway, corridor, living room or bedroom. The number and positioning of lights should suit the particular space; a compact front does not by itself establish the brightness of the finished lighting scheme.
