Trio MURES 469869142 garden bollard light with motion sensor, anthracite, 80 cm, E27

Trio MURES 469869142 is an outdoor bollard combining a white opal-glass globe with an anthracite die-cast aluminium cylinder. An integrated motion sensor sits on the front of the body. This is the 80 cm version, intended for lighting routes and entrance areas around the home.

Check the space beside the path

The complete fitting is 80 cm tall and the globe measures 18 cm in diameter. Compare these measurements with the width of your walkway and nearby planting before choosing a mounting position. Keep the body outside the walking line and clear of opening doors. The height of surrounding plants also matters when deciding where the globe will remain visible.

The manufacturer identifies garden paths, driveways and entrances as suitable locations. A position beside the approach to a terrace is another option where it leaves sufficient passage space. IP44 protection covers splashing water; it does not make the fitting suitable for immersion.

Movement-triggered operation

The built-in sensor switches the light on automatically when movement is detected. The installation manual shows an adjustable lighting duration from 10 seconds to 7 minutes and an ambient-light threshold from 5 to 2000 lux. These adjustments let you match the response to the conditions at a particular entrance rather than treating the fitting only as a continuously lit marker.

Choose the E27 bulb separately

Inside the globe is one E27 socket for a bulb rated at no more than 40 W. A bulb is not supplied. Brightness and light colour therefore depend on your separate bulb choice, not on the warm appearance of the promotional photograph. The fitting uses a 230 V supply; it is not a solar light.

The white globe and dark cylindrical body suit modern, modernist and minimalist outdoor schemes. Their simple geometry avoids decorative arms or separate spotlight heads. If you repeat several bollards along a route, plan the spacing around the selected bulb and the actual garden layout rather than assuming that the photograph establishes a lighting distance.
