TRIO TAURUS 652910131 LED ceiling spotlight, matt white, 5 W, 3000 K

TRIO TAURUS 652910131 is a ceiling spotlight with a matt white metal body and two separately switchable lighting zones: a central light and an outer illuminated ring. It is not a wall lamp. The same fitting supports surface mounting or partial recessing, allowing the installation method to follow the ceiling construction without choosing a different article.

Two ways to fit the ceiling

For surface mounting, the cylindrical base remains visible. Overall height is 10.9 cm and diameter is 8.7 cm. Compare those measurements with the intended position, particularly beside fitted furniture or other ceiling features. This is a projecting spotlight rather than a flat panel sitting flush across its entire surface.

Recessed installation needs an 80 mm diameter ceiling cut-out. The manufacturer lists an 8 cm mounting depth; before cutting, check the installation manual, technical drawing and available space above the ceiling as well. The light-emitting body still remains visible below the ceiling plane. Both arrangements are ceiling installations, not alternatives for wall mounting.

Choose the centre, ring or both

The integrated LED assembly is rated at 5 W, with a source luminous flux of 450 lm and a colour temperature of 3000 K. There is no screw-base bulb to choose separately. This exact version provides warm white light rather than an adjustable colour-temperature setting.

The manual illustrates successive selection of the central light, outer ring and both together through repeated operation of the switch. Choosing a lighting zone does not mean controlling brightness: the fitting is not dimmable. Its movable head allows the light to be directed rather than fixed straight down from the mounting position.

A spotlight within a wider lighting scheme

The manufacturer identifies living rooms, bedrooms and hallways as applications. Treat an individual fitting as part of a lighting plan, not automatically as a substitute for the main light throughout a room. Its simple cylindrical form and matt white finish suit modern, minimalist interiors. TAURUS uses a 230 V supply; prepare the mounting position and electrical connection in accordance with the installation instructions.
