Trysil 1030BL is a park lantern on an integrated pole: a black aluminium mast 350 cm tall with a 118 cm crossarm and two heads. This is not a lantern you add to an existing pole — luminaire and pole are one structure.
IESNA Type V distribution — light all round, not in one direction
The heads use a Ledil VSM lens giving a distribution classified as IESNA Type V — rotationally symmetric, that is, even in every direction around the pole. It is the choice for places you walk around rather than along: park paths, squares, plazas, courtyards. For a road running one way, Types II or III would be more appropriate, aiming the output into a narrow band.
BUG rating B2-U2-G1
BUG describes how much light a fitting sends where it is not wanted: B sideways (backlight), U upward, G as glare. Trysil rates B2-U2-G1 — a low glare figure with moderate backlight and uplight. In practice it can stand near apartment windows without complaints about light spilling indoors, while not being fully "dark sky": some light does go up, which is worth allowing for under tree canopies.
DALI2 and NightDim
The fitting supports DALI2, so it can join a controlled installation and be addressed individually. Independently of that it has NightDim built in — self-contained dimming during the small hours, working with no external controller. For a run of lanterns in a park where nobody is going to build a DALI bus, that is the feature that actually lowers the bill.
How much light, and how efficiently
The LED module draws 19.7 W, the whole luminaire 23.3 W. The source emits 3382 lm and the luminaire 3277 lm — a loss of just 3% in the optics, giving a luminaire efficacy of 140.6 lm/W. Colour is a warm 3000 K, CRI 70, and SDCM5 colour consistency is sufficient for exterior lighting. Power factor is 0.95.
Durability and installation
The structure is powder-coated aluminium with a UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser — a material that does not yellow in sunlight. IP65 sealing and IK10 impact resistance are the top mechanical rating in this class. The operating range is -20 to +45 °C. Terminals take conductors up to 5×4 mm², and loop-through up to 5×2.5 mm² lets the supply continue to the next pole.
What you have to buy separately
Norlys sells the anchoring parts separately: mounting adapter (index 1259), ground anchor (180) and concreting anchor (3091). They must be allowed for when planning the installation — the pole itself comes with nothing to set it into the ground.
