The white V-TAC VT-44005, SKU 24228, is an aluminium garden spike spotlight that takes a replaceable GU10 bulb. Its ribbed cylindrical head sits in an adjustable bracket, allowing the direction of the light to be changed. This is an above-ground spotlight on a spike, not a recessed fitting designed to sit flush with paving.
Choose the bulb for the feature you want to light
No bulb is supplied. The GU10 holder accepts a lamp rated up to 35 W, so a compatible light source must be selected separately. Check its light output, colour temperature and beam angle as well as its wattage. The GU10 designation alone does not specify brightness or the width of the illuminated area. A replaceable bulb lets you choose these lighting characteristics independently of the white housing.
The adjustable head can be aimed at shrubs, trees or a selected garden feature. Match the bulb's beam angle to the distance between the spotlight and the object being illuminated. It can also be positioned beside a path or driveway, but should remain clear of the walking route and vehicle wheel tracks rather than becoming part of the traffic surface.
Size and outdoor electrical installation
Overall height is 28.5 cm, with a head diameter of 5.6 cm and a head length of 9 cm. The dimension drawing shows a 15 cm spike. The overall measurement therefore includes the portion inserted into the soil; it is not the height of the whole fitting above ground after installation.
The spotlight is rated IP65 and operates on 220–240 V AC, 50 Hz. The instructions require installation by a qualified electrician, proper earthing and waterproof electrical connections. A waterproof connection box is not included. Its white finish and functional cylindrical form suit modern garden layouts. It is a mains-powered fitting, not a solar light, and the IP65 rating does not make it suitable for immersion.
