Lunares Classic: traditional and retro lamps
Lunares Classic brings together lamps in a classic and retro spirit: multi-arm ceiling lights and chandeliers, flush ceiling lights, wall lights, pendants and desk lamps with a traditional outline. Some of them are made in Poland, and they share a straightforward approach – a metal frame, glass or fabric shades and ordinary replaceable bulbs. If you are furnishing a period flat, a cottage or a room with heavier wooden furniture, this is a look that sits comfortably with it.
Finishes and forms
The finishes are the warm, slightly old-fashioned ones that suit traditional interiors: brown combined with chrome, bronze and wenge with silver, patinated metal and polished chrome. Next to the classic pieces there are simpler designs too, such as a red and white pendant with GU10 spotlights or a plain single pendant.
What the Lunares Classic collection includes
The collection includes ceiling lights and chandeliers with several arms, flush ceiling lights, wall lights, pendant lights and desk lamps. BORYS, in brown with chrome, comes as a whole family: a three-light ceiling lamp, a two-light pendant, a flush ceiling light and a matching wall light let you dress a living room and hallway in one style. GRANITE pairs a bronze flush ceiling light with a four-arm chandelier, and the Alladyn and OFFICE desk lamps add a patinated metal piece for a study or a bedside.
What to check when choosing
-
Bulbs and wattage. The fittings usually take E27 bulbs (some use GU10), with a maximum of 40–60 W per light point; bulbs are not included. A warm-white LED of the same cap gives the same glow with far lower heat.
-
Number of light points. A three- or four-arm fitting is enough for a typical living room; a six-light flush ceiling light suits a larger room or a low ceiling where a hanging chandelier would be in the way.
-
Height and width. Check the overall height of chandeliers and pendants against your ceiling, and leave at least about 2 m of clear headroom under anything that hangs over a walkway.
-
Indoor use. These are indoor fittings for dry rooms (IP20 where the product page states it) and must be connected to 230 V by a qualified electrician.
-
Made to order. Some models, BORYS among them, are produced to order, so check the product page before planning around a date.
