Ramko: lamps designed and made in Piastów, Poland
Ramko is a Polish family company with roots going back to 1992. It designs and makes its lamps in Poland, and everything happens locally: from the first sketch through the production of components to final assembly in its own factory in Piastów, just outside Warsaw. The maker works with fabrics, hand-made glass, wool, semi-precious stones and metal, and many lamps can be adapted to the customer, with the shade fabric chosen from Ramko's swatch books and the frame colour and size set per order. Its lamps light homes and flats as well as hotels and restaurants.
From fabric shades to LED rings
Fabric shades are Ramko's signature, in plain, matt and finely woven textiles. Next to them stand very different designs. The ECHO collection is built around an aluminium ring with an integrated LED strip and comes as pendants, ceiling lights and wall lights, with acoustic versions whose felt panels absorb sound. LANA is a chandelier of wires and cable knots with an industrial edge. ONDE brings fabric lamps in a wide range of colours, raw silk among them, while TONGA lamps, each with a fabric shade, are made largely by hand in the Piastów factory. Frames come in black and white as well as grey, cashmere beige, light and dark gold and brushed stainless steel.
Ramko at Lunares
At Lunares you will find Ramko pendant lights, from ECHO LED rings and long LED pendants to multi-light chandeliers such as MONT, DOMINO and LANA. They are joined by wall lights, ceiling lights, floor lamps and table lamps, including the industrial LOTTA family in desk, wall and floor versions.
What to check when choosing a Ramko lamp
-
Built-in LED or a bulb. Many Ramko fittings have integrated LED with a stated wattage, luminous flux and colour temperature, such as warm 3000 K. Others take replaceable E27 or E14 bulbs, so you choose the light yourself.
-
Size against the room. ECHO rings and linear pendants come in several sizes, such as 60, 90 and 120 cm. Choose one in proportion to the table beneath it or to the size of the room.
-
Finish. Black and white suit modern and industrial interiors, while gold finishes work in classic and more decorative schemes.
-
Location. These are indoor lamps. Before fitting one in a bathroom, check the IP rating on the product page.
