Lunares Design: furniture chosen by Lunares
Lunares Design is the label we use for furniture selected and named by Lunares itself, the Kraków-based shop behind this site. Unlike the producers we stock, Lunares Design pieces are individual items that we chose for their character: furniture that pairs natural materials with metal, or soft upholstery with a strong colour, and that brings a finishing touch to an interior already lit by our lamps. Several pieces carry their own name, such as The Excellent Vintage or The Stylish.
Materials and style
The pieces follow two moods. One is warm and natural: solid fir wood or recycled teak with a natural, water-based lacquer, set on a steel or iron frame in black or grey. The other is soft and decorative: velvet upholstery and a moulded seat in pink on powder-coated steel legs. Both work well next to loft and industrial lighting, as well as in modern interiors that need one accent piece.
What you will find
Lunares Design covers small pieces of furniture: wine cabinets, coffee tables, armchairs and chairs, from fir wood and recycled teak on steel frames to velvet upholstery.
What to check before you buy
-
Dimensions. Compare the width, depth and height on the product page with your space. For a wine cabinet, also check the depth of the bottle racks.
-
Seat height and depth. For chairs and armchairs, seat height decides comfort at a table, and seat depth decides how relaxed the seat feels; both are listed on each product page.
-
Maximum load. Each piece has a stated maximum load, from a coffee table top to a chair seat.
-
Wood is natural. Fir and recycled teak vary in grain and tone, and recycled wood can show marks of its earlier life. That is part of its character.
-
Care. Wipe lacquered wood with a dry or slightly damp cloth, and vacuum velvet gently along the pile.
